No Job's Worth That

A company lost its bid to have its insurer cover its liability after one of its supervisors, angered by blood on a toilet seat and a used sanitary napkin nearby, demanded that female employees strip to show whether they were on their period or not. The company claimed that the strip search was not part of the employee-employer relationship, but the insurer basically said, hey, you're on your own here, and the court agreed with the insurer that when a supervisor orders employees to go to the bathroom and strip, that's basically a) employer-employee relationship stuff, and b) likely false imprisonment. If your employer ordered you to strip because they wanted to find out who did something, would you do it? (Courthouse News)
