That CAN'T be the reason. Ron Washington said that he cheated on his wife, which is the first thing he's said about his abrupt resignation as Texas Rangers manager since he left. An affair? If he was seeing someone in the Rangers' organization, maybe that would do it. If his wife felt she can't trust him on the road, maybe. If he was being blackmailed, it might have caused trouble. But it would be very strange for an affair to cause a manager to quit. Not to condone an affair, but if everyone in baseball who cheats on his spouse quit over it, there'd be few left.
