There were protest marches over climate change all over the world Sunday; the organizers claimed 310,000 in New York, although you can assume it was really a fraction that (they always overestimate). Regardless of how inflated the number might be, it was a lot of people. The question, whatever your position on climate change, is whether marches like this make a difference at all. Is this the way to go, or is lobbying officials and pushing private interests to do something more effective in the long run? Is anyone paying attention to people in costumes walking up the street?
