Would A Toaster Strudel Slingshot Have Been More Acceptable?
-
The Anne Arundel County school board has rejected the appeal of the kid suspended for chewing his Pop-Tart into the shape of a gun. They say that because of his history of misbehavior, the school acted responsibly by suspending the kid for making a pastry look like a pastry shaped like what a gun would look like if you made it out of pastry with your teeth. Was suspension really the way to go if they were concerned about his behavior? Couldn't they have just taken him aside and said, look, you've been acting up, please don't make guns out of Pop-Tarts? Fun fact: His attorney is legendary NBA heckler Robin Ficker, who represents several kids suspended for similar minor infractions. (Washington Post)
