I Wouldn't Be Able To Afford Tickets Anyway

It never seems to stop amusing people outside Los Angeles that we don't care that we don't have an NFL team. The New York Times had this article explaining to the rest of the world how we really don't need football in person, because we get all we need on television and because most of us are fans of other teams and wouldn't become automatic fans of a Los Angeles franchise. But the politicians think that we want a team, so they're hellbent on spending our tax money to help build a stadium, even as they try to convince everybody that it's being done with private funds. For the last time, we really don't care that there's no team here.(The New York Times)
