Whoa. The price tag for next year at the University of Pennsylvania, including tuition, housing, and everything: $63,000. Okay, it's Ivy League, but is ANY college worth that? And how do colleges get so expensive? Maybe some of it is explained by looking at Rutgers as an example: they have several making over a million dollars a year, although the top earner - over $3 million - makes most of it performing surgery. And lots of the professors make fifty grand. But they DO spend on salaries. And sports. (Philadelphia Inquirer; New Brunswick Home News Tribune)
