Would Have Guessed It Was The Llamas

The Internet outage in northern Arizona the other day was caused by vandals who cut the fiber optic line from Phoenix to Flagstaff. It took a lot of painstaking searching to find the cut. If it's that easy to knock out Internet access (and the credit/debit system, incidentally) for a fairly large area, we have a long way to go to make the Internet secure. Forget the "open Internet"; if we don't protect the lines, we'll have NO Internet. (KPHO-TV/Phoenix)
