A Few Months Seems Appropriate

Here's another chance for you to weigh in on roadside memorials after someone vandalized a roadside memorial in Oregon, enraging the family of the deceased. The question is, how long do you let someone maintain a memorial on public property before you say it's time to wrap it up? Some people will keep it going forever, letting candles and photos and crosses stay there for years. And you can't blame anyone for grieving at the site of a loved one's passing, but at some point, you have to say, well, this isn't a cemetery and you can't just make it a memorial on your own, right?
