If This Is Her 15 Minutes, It's A Pretty Good 15 Minutes

You know if you read this thing regularly that I am a Villanova Law School grad and therefore was bummed by the Wildcats' unceremonious exit from the NCAA tournament. But, of course, the piccolo player who was caught by CBS cameras crying as she played after the game became the most famous symbol of Nova's quick exit from March Madness. But unlike some unwilling meme subjects, she's decided to embrace it, and so there she was on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" playing the Villanova fight song with The Roots and getting gifts like Taylor Swift tickets. (And let's nod to Chris Stigall at WPHT, who gave her Phillies tickets, too.) Basically, she went from the subject of ridicule to being celebrated, and that's because she was smart enough to own it. Yeah, she cried -- you got a problem with that? Didn't think so. (USA Today)
