Wait A Year Or So. They'll Be Screaming For Someone Else
-
Does it bother you that someone of whom you've never heard can draw massive crowds to mall appearances? Then don't read this one about the mobs that filled up Stonewood Center over in Downey for an appearance by pro skateboarders Steven Fernandez and Keelan Dadd and ended up causing the event to be cancelled because the cops couldn't control them. Fernandez' own Instagram video shows teen girls screaming for him; "i asked da cops let me go out there they grabbed me & said no smh," he posted, exhibiting a limited grasp of both grammar and the necessity of crowd control in a potentially chaotic situation. But if you're thinking, oh, those kids today GET OFF MY LAWN, remember the Beatles, and Bobby Sherman, and countless other teen idols. And if you're thinking, well, Steven Fernandez is not the Beatles, he isn't, but so what? People like what they like. (KABC-TV/Los Angeles)
