Not That People Can Parallel Park Very Well Even If They've Passed The Test
-
On the way out everywhere, and just dropped in Maryland: parallel parking testing during the driver's exam. It's not required in some states, and Maryland says that it's redundant, since they test a "reverse two-point turnabout" and it's the same skill set. But some folks suspect that the REAL reason parallel parking tests are going away is that too many people fail them. You can't push people through the process if you make them prove they can park.
