You know about how pooping in the open is a major health problem in India, where poor areas may not have any indoor plumbing and people-- almost half the nation's population -- go out in the fields or along railroad tracks or into rivers to drop a deuce. The country has introduced public toilets in an effort to change this, but they can't seem to get everyone to cooperate. How, then, to get people pooping indoors? They're trying a plan that pays people to poop in a toilet, because the locals think that there are witches or kidnappers in the johns and they need incentive to take that risk. I would very much like to see this introduced in the U.S., because I'm confident I would be able to cash in big time. It's the one thing I'm good at. (BBC)
