Horrible tragedies tend to make for very bad law, something we need to keep in mind in light of recent events. And it's also the case, for school regulations more than law, in this incident, in which a rich timeshare mogul is mourning his daughter's drug death and petitioning her college to institute random mandatory drug testing of all students. He wants that to be universal, at all colleges. They're telling him it's unconstitutional, but he insists that it can and should be done, and he's willing to put his cash behind it.
