Or Everybody Just Get Waze And Wander On The Back Roads
-
By now, you've probably heard about the study of the worst traffic bottlenecks in America and know that Chicago has the worst. But here in L.A., we have fully one-third of the worst 30, and they're missing some I know are horrible. If the 110 South at the 405/91/190th Street interchange, merging lanes coming in from all over the place, isn't considered one of the worst... well, it's bad. But read through the study and ask yourself, what the hell can we do to fix this? Because there may be no fix- there just isn't room or money to expand the roads. What are the alternatives? Pay-to-ride express lanes, dedicated high-speed bus lanes with park-and-ride options, mass transit, driverless cars... what would work? (Los Angeles Times)
