But Zombo.com Is Still Alive
-
Once upon a time, there was an Internet startup called Kozmo in New York, and it promised delivery of anything, at any time, anywhere. You wanted a pint of ice cream or a loaf of bread or a VHS tape (yep, back then), you ordered it from Kozmo and they'd bring it to your apartment via a bike messenger. Today, of course, that service is long gone, though Amazon will deliver a lot within a few hours. But this New York Times blog post is a way to talk about your favorite defunct dot-com businesses, the folks you used until they went away, from Peapod to Pets.com to whatever. Hey, today's booming online business could be the next bust. (New York Times)
