There's Always Lyft

The core of Uber drivers' complaint against the company is that they're ending up, they say, working up to 19 hours a day to make a living because the company cut fares and added drivers, meaning heavy competition in places like New York. That's terrible, except for the same thing that gets in the way of fast-food minimum wage debates: Is driving an Uber supposed to be a career? Or even a living wage? Isn't it meant to be a means of making some extra cash with your spare hours? Or a way to start out with a few bucks in your pocket while pursuing your real career? What should Uber be responsible for? (New York Post)
