And He Can't Get A 'Refund,' Either
-
Imagine you're a teen needing an operation to repair your shoulder, and you live in Canada. Well, first, they make you wait almost a year. And then, halfway through the surgery, the surgeon gets sick and walks out, and they stop the surgery and send the kid home, telling him they'd reschedule, maybe in a month or so, not sure. So the poor kid has to walk around in pain after a partial procedure and they seem in no rush to get it fixed. In the same area, another woman's been waiting over a decade for surgery to fix her neck and pelvis and is in a neck brace, unable to work for all that time. Yes, health care is too costly in the U.S. system, and there should be coverage that takes care of things like this without breaking the bank, but put things in the hands of bureaucrats and you end up like this.
