If You're That Allergic, Trust No Restaurant
-
What duty does a restaurant have to tell customers the ingredients in its food? The owner of an Indian restaurant in Britain is facing charges after a customer allergic to peanuts died from eating curry that had been prepared with a mixed-nut powder rather than the more expensive almond powder he used to use. The failure to warn customers led to the charges, and the restaurants reassuring customers that the dishes were peanut-free when they weren't. That's inexcusable. But if you have that severe an allergy to peanuts (or, for that matter, anything), you should probably carry an epi-pen with you, just in case. (Daily Telegraph)
