Maybe They Can't Read
-
From the busier-than-normal Taco Bell Bureau: A deaf woman is suing Taco Bell because a franchised store in New Jersey said she can't submit a written order at the drive-thru, telling her that, okay, this one time, they'll take it, but in the future she'd have to come in. Clearly, the minimum wage worker at the window is unfamiliar with the Americans With Disabilities Act. And how is it all that difficult for them to take a written order? I'd think it's EASIER for them, unless they use one of those remote order-taking things where the unintelligible voice on the speaker is in some other country and inputting the order from there. And even then, is it that taxing to take the written order? (WFMZ-TV/Allentown and AP)
