I'm not sure I'm quite as outraged as I'm supposed to be that the Governor of Connecticut, carrying his son's backpack, somehow bypassed airport security escorting the kid to a flight before handing the backpack over to the son. I mean, sure, you might say "there's one rule for the rich and powerful and another blah blah blah," but, let's face it, is there a lower security risk than the Governor of Connecticut? We're doing the security to combat terrorism. The Governor, like him or not, is not a terrorist, you know that, we all know that... so if he doesn't go through the metal detector, what does that matter? (Hartford Courant)
