My Time's Worth More Than A Few Bucks Of Savings
-
You know what kind of articles I can't stand? It's these exercises in utter wankery that answer the headline question "Are Rotisserie Chickens a Bargain?" by comparing your basic supermarket cooked chicken to buying chicken raw and cooking it yourself, and concluding that, yes, you can save, like, 90 cents or a buck and a half cooking it yourself. THE POINT IS THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO COOK IT. You pay for the convenience. This article is like saying "you can save money eating at home." NO KIDDING, REALLY? I wouldn't have known if you hadn't informed me! Seriously, some economists have no idea how real people live. (Priceonomics)
