This Thing Better Not Touch The In-N-Out In Hesperia

The terrible Blue Cut Fire that's ripping across the High Desert and the Cajon Pass here in Southern California has already claimed a landmark: the Summit Inn, the Route 66 diner that's been a mile marker location on the drive between L.A. and Vegas for over 50 years. If you've ever driven that route, you'd recognize it, the first commercial anything you see once you've ascended the pass and reached the desert north of the mountains. Elvis once allegedly walked out of the place because his music wasn't on the jukebox, and you can't get much more historic than that. (KABC-TV/Los Angeles)
