Here's a python who ate three whole Everglades deer. Scientists found the deer in a Burmese python caught in the swamp, and, yes, it's very unusual to find that much food in a snake. It has some interesting implications, one of which is that pythons have come to dominate the marshes since they showed up in the 1980s, and that's not good. But there are other issues about the research which suggests that the concern may be the result of skewed research because the snakes they can catch tend to be the well-fed ones who get to the roadside and then stop; they aren't totally sure that pythons are eating up all the deer. Whatever the case, this snake had three deer in it. That's an appetite. (Miami Herald)
