Try Training The Rats To Pee Outside
-
There have been three recent cases in New York, one being fatal, of a rare disease, leptospirosis,, which is caused by exposure to rat pee. You get the disease when rat pee gets into your body "through the eyes, nose or mouth, or through wounds and cuts in the skin," according to the article. I don't want to know how it gets through the eyes, nose, or mouth, to be honest. But it's also a window into the terrible life of poverty, when people live in squalor and can't just call an exterminator to get rid of rats. (New York Times)
