What's The Problem? He Was Gonna Bring Back A Happy Meal
-
A drunk driver with a history of DUIs allegedly rolled a car, left his friend on the road to die, and got a ride to McDonald's, because that's what you do, I suppose. The car owner was a passenger and claims he didn't call for help because he couldn't find his phone; he also allegedly tried to blame the dead man ("95% certain he was the driver"), which led to additional charges. The driver, for his part, says he "can't say for sure" he was driving, and admits he never called 911, even though he made 10 calls right after the crash. In case you're curious, they were drinking that afternoon, then stopped at two bars for more beer and shots, then went to the alleged driver's stepfather's home for more drinking. So nobody was in any condition to even think about driving, but apparently they did. (Minneapolis Star Tribune)
