If They Were Doing It For The Fame, Sucks For Them
-
Last year, Channel 4 in Britain launched a reality show called "Eden" in which 23 contestants were dropped into the wilderness of the Scottish Highlands to try and live off the land. Three episodes aired, and then... nothing. Everyone forgot about it. But it turns out that some of the contestants were, until now, still out there with nobody watching and no episodes shown. Channel 4 says that more episodes WILL air, but until then, it appears that at least 10 of the contestants were struggling away, cut off from the world, not even knowing about Trump or Brexit or anything else happening, with nobody paying any attention. And word is that the "experiment" was a debacle, with some contestants sneaking into a village and smuggling back junk food and booze and others bailing because it was miserable. You have to wonder why the producers didn't just cut their losses and pull the plug. (The Guardian)
