In 2010, having achieved everything they had set out to on breakfast, Dermot and Dave decided to tackle 98FM's under-performing Drive market and, after 18 months, have reduced the gap between themselves and the market leader from over 10,000 AQH listeners to just over 1,000 and, in two months, should replace them as the number one show in Dublin's Drive time or....party time market.

Meet Dermot & Dave on 98FM
I had the pleasure (sometimes) of working closely with the boys for 6-7 years. In fact they still owe me an expensive dinner I recall. Outside of Dublin they have a fairly low profile....but....this is about to change.
These guys are world class.
Think Mark and Brian at KLOS, Hamish and Andy from Australia and now Dermot and Dave.
Dermot Whelan and Dave Moore were introduced to each other in 2002 in the offices of 98FM. Having never met before, the two were thrust into each others' lives and those of the 1.5 million people who live in Dublin. The lads were given the Breakfast Show on Dublin's leading commercial music station, 98FM.
Dermot had worked there for two years, in news and doing some comedy on the previous Breakfast Show.
Dave had never been in a radio station in his life.
While Dermot's talent had been spotted and nurtured in 98FM, Dave had spent five years working as a songwriter and music producer before his Voice-Over showreel brought him to the attention of 98FM's talent scouts.
Every morning for eight years, Dermot and Dave shared their infectious brand of fun radio with Dublin's discerning public.
Winning countless awards and, as we all know, the more important ratings battle, Dermot & Dave spearheaded 98FM's dominance of the market.

It's funny but it's also a fun show. There is a difference. It's more than a bunch of gags

They guys are creative and they "try stuff"
