1. What got you into radio?
I was a DJ at a roller skating rink during high school and thought it would be cool to be on the radio.
2. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
My dream was to be a director of a TV show. Actually, I went to college for TV and Radio production. That didn't turn out well. I quit after 6 weeks. I spent a few years doing club and mobile DJ work, then decided to enroll in the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. The rest is history...lol.
3. What would you call the highlight of your radio career?
Being hired by Ben Hill and Jerry Clifton at WPGC
4. How is radio different for you in 2016 as opposed to 1996?
two words...Social Media. We now have more tools to reach and interact with your listeners and clients
5. What would probably surprise most people about Ocean City?
Maybe not Ocean City,but Salisbury...I drive past Frank Perdue's childhood home and very firstchicken coop. Yeah, THAT Frank Perdue. I think have the working force here works for Perdue.
6. You've been at this for a while. What advice would you offer someone trying to break into the business now?
Multi-task is the key. The more you know about various positions in broadcasting the more you are valuable to a prospective employer.
7. If you weren't in radio, what do you think you'd be doing professionally?
Scuba Instructor. I got the scuba bug a few years ago thanks to George Stone who was my WB rep. I'm now a certified rescue diver. I would love to spend the entire day under water at 100 feet.
8. What do you like to do in your spare time?
Being a dad of two young men .
9. If you could be on any TV reality show or game show, which would you want to be on?
It's not a game show or reality TV but I would love to be on The Walking Dead, playing Albie Z...The Zombie DJ.
10. What would you like to see more of in Rhythm radio today?
More non rap, Rhythm dance/groove music
