BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:

KYSR (987FM)/ Los Angeles night jock; KMXB (Mix 94.1)/Las Vegas late-nights/production/host of new music show Area 941; KFMS (101.9 KISS FM)/Las Vegas weekends, promotions assistant. Before that, I board-opped various other stations throughout the U.S of A begging them to let me on the air!

1. How did you become interested in radio?

Simply because I love music and thought I could be the cool kid playing it!

2. What was your favorite station to listen to when you were a kid?

Growing up I didn't listen to much radio because I lived in a very small town that only had one radio station. YES... one of those stations that plays a variety of everything. Country in the day-time, Rock at night, News in between all of it. I listened to a lot of my dad's records. He had everything from The Doors, Bowie, The Cure, Zeppelin... even Michael Jackson. My dad's music taste rules!

3. Who in radio are your influences, your mentors, the people to whom you listen?

Mentors: Rik McNeil, Charese Fruge', Michael Martin, Julie Pilat.

Influences/People whom I listen to: Josh Venable here at 987FM (musical genius), Jed The Fish at KROQ (amazing...), Jason Rooney at MIX in Vegas (a good friend with a unique on-air vibe), and Xtreme Disorder in Vegas at KXTE (fun bunch of dudes.)

4. How did you get the night gig at KYSR?

I was doing middays while Yvonne Valasquez was out on maternity leave. The boss noticed my on-air vibe, loved the "hung-over vibe" I brought to the station and asked me to become the new night jock on a full-time basis. The rest is... well... history.

5. How would you describe the Kade Show?

I'm just a kid that lives the rock n roll lifestyle trying to make friends of the listeners, so I would describe my show as a bunch of friends hangin' out, listening to music, winning cool things and having a f***ing blast!

6. What is your show prep routine?

Just a good ol' shot of Jack Daniels does the trick. Ahhh, yes ...

7. What part of your show do you like best?

MixTape Mondays! Listeners get to come in Monday at 9p to play their favorite songs. Every week there's a new topic.

8. Fill in the blank: I can't make it through the day without ________?

Caffeine ...Red Bull.

9. What's one thing that would surprise many people to learn about you?

I smoked some herb with Willie.

10. What career path would you be following had it not been for this industry?

Lead singer in a rock band or a writer. I love to write short stories.

What are your hobbies?

SLEEEEEPING, checking out live bands on Friday and Saturday at The Whisky and Key Club, eating Italian food, smoking, and belching.
