1. How did you become interested in radio?

I never was interested in radio. I didn't want to do radio after college, because I didn't want to move all the time. I am a "nester" at heart.

2. What was your favorite station to listen to when you were a kid?

WRIF in Detroit.

3. Why did you decide to switch from the record business to radio?

I didn't really decide, it just sort of happened... I was staying at home with the kids and was starting to think about going back to work, but didn't really know what I was going to do. Then, as if out of Heaven, my PD Mike Flanagan called me and asked me if I'd be interested in working for 92/7fm as a DJ. Well, I just couldn't say no.

4. What do you miss most about the record biz? Least?

Most: Arguing w/Lenny Diana, an expense account, and seeing live music on a regular basis.

Least: Where shall I begin...

5. What do you list best about radio?

Freedom of expression on a daily basis.

Least? It makes me sad that I get sick of music (again).

6. KRXF just had a great Spring '08 Book. What were the highlights?

#1 (tie) Persons 18-34; #1 (tie) Persons 25-54; #1 Men 18-34; and #2 Persons 18-49

Also, in our weekly newspaper's (The Source) reader's poll, 92/7 was voted best/favorite radio station and I was voted best/favorite DJ! We're super proud of that as there were over 1,500 ballots that were actually turned in and there was absolutely no prompting, no names listed, nothing. Beat that Arbitron!

7. What would shock people most about 92/7FM?

We play requests, LOTS of them.

8. What would an outsider find most surprising about Bend, OR?

We're at almost 4,000 feet in elevation and it's the high desert so it's dry and hot in the summer and dry and freaking cold in the winter. But I can beat you in a foot race any day if you're not acclimated!

9. What's one thing that would surprise many people to learn about you?

When the mood strikes me, and it often does, I sing on the air.

10. Besides KRXF, what is your favorite radio station and why?

Wow, I can actually answer that now - sweet! I would have to say Indie 103 in L.A. and KEXP in the non-comm world. I don't think I need to expand upon why I like Indie or KEXP, my choices speak for themselves.

What are your hobbies?

Gardening, reading, eating, and drinking. I also volunteer on the fundraising/marketing committee at the local community radio station. I know, it's cool that my paid gig still lets me do that, right?
