1. What got you interested in the record business?
I've always loved music. I chose the record business, because I thought what a great way to make a living. I was a horrible musician, but talked a damn good game.
2. What was your favorite station to listen to when you were a kid?
KQRS. KQ at the time played the Replacements to BTO. It was the best rock station in Minneapolis. The station still has huge ratings.
3. Who are your mentors?
Early mentors: Bill Pfordresher, Bob Catania, and Warren Christensen.
4. What do you like best about your job? Least?
Best: Getting great artists exposed and turning people on to great music.
Least: All the bullshit you have to go through now just to do your job.
5. What was the first record you worked to radio and what has been the biggest change since you first began doing radio promotion?
The Young Dubliners. biggest change, and the WHOLE BUSINESS.
6. What is the toughest part of your job?
It's all tough these days.
7. What would surprise people most about you?
I'm actually pretty mellow.

Water.
9. What has been your biggest career highlight?
This past Foo Fighters record. We've had three #1 singles ... I'm proud of that.
10. What career path would you be following had it not been for this industry?
Sanitation.
