Cold War Kids have returned with the stirring new anthem, "Love Is Mystical." The track debuted as an iHeartRadio World Premiere, broadcast every three hours across all of their Alternative & Triple A stations and is now available at all digital partners. "Love Is Mystical" is the first single from the band's forthcoming album, "L.A. Divine." Set for release on April 7th via Capitol Records, the album is an ode to Cold War Kids' hometown of Los Angeles. This collection is the band's sixth studio album and first for Capitol.
"['Love Is Mystical'] is about supernatural love - looking for inspiration and meaning, surrendering to feeling, love calling out your name and that journey we must go on to find it," says Cold War Kids singer.
Cold War Kids are Nathan Willett, Matt Maust, Joe Plummer, Matthew Schwartz, and David Quon. Formed in 2001 in Long Beach, CA, the band released their breakthrough debut "Robbers & Cowards" to considerable acclaim in 2006. The darker "Loyalty To Loyalty" followed two years later, while 2011's "Mine Is Yours" introduced deeper anthemic qualities to the eclectic group's catalog. 2013's "Dear Miss Lonelyhearts," featuring the hit single "Miracle Mile," was a return to their raw live sound. Cold War Kids have sold more than 575,000 albums, over 2 million singles, and racked up nearly 200 million streams to date.
The group will preview songs from "L.A. Divine" on their upcoming North American headlining tour, which kicks off on March 3rd at the Okeechobee Festival in Florida. The run will include a series of Midwest and East Coast dates.
