Middle Kids

“Mistake” is the new single released from the Australian trio, Middle Kids. It will be on their debut album, “Lost Friends” set for release on May 4th via Domino Records. This collection was recorded and produced in Australia with Peter Katis, who's worked with Gang Of Youths, The National, and Kurt Vile.
Effortless-sounding indie rock with a cool-as-hell chorus, it's a gently uplifting, oddly inspiring song. “In a time where a lot of division is growing, we want to be part of the conversation that unites people around certain ideals that are universal, like hope and love,” explains Middle Kids member, Hannah Joy. “That’s so much a thread throughout this album: Even though things are tough, it’s worth believing in something good and in the idea that we can heal. And in some ways, I wanted the music to be beautiful and a respite from what’s going on.”
The three-piece is made up of Tim Fitz, a cool Sydney creative, and Hannah Joy – who has been making songs under her name for a while and their friend Harry Day. They first caught attention last year with their stellar debut EP.
Middle Kids have got a few shows in the lead-up to releasing their album, including sideshows with The War On Drugs, a one-of show with Gang Of Youths, and their own headline dates this month. They will also be performing at several music festivals including Governors Ball, Firefly and more.
