Mona

Last month, the Nashville-based trio MONA released the perfect Valentine’s Day visual for their jovial banger “Kiss Like A Woman” via Bright Antenna. The video chronicles a trio of steamy make-out sessions: two model-esque biker chicks, a diner patron and a hunky bus boy, and a high school misfit and a homecoming queen hopeful. “Kiss Like a Woman” is the first single from MONA’s forthcoming, and as-yet-untitled, new album. It will be the band’s first full-length release since 2013′s “Torches & Pitchforks.”
"It is very important to us not only as musicians but just as humans to let the people in our lives, especially listeners, know simply that no matter what walk of life you take that you are loved and accepted and have our support," lead singer Nick Brown explains. "With this song and video we wanted to address a playful and joyful approach to these topics. Not taking them lightly but just to remind us all that there is joy in being yourself."
MONA’s lineup currently features Brown alongside Jordan Young on guitar and Justin Wilson on drums.
They are originally from Dayton, Ohio and Bowling Green, Kentucky . The band rose to fame appearing as part of the BBC's Sound of 2011 poll. They were also crowned the Brand New for 2011 title at the MTV Awards. MONA has released two full length albums; “Mona” (2011) and “Torches & Pitchforks” (2013). They have opened for the likes of Arcade Fire, Kings Of Leon and Robert Plant.
MONA will kick off its latest era with performances in New York and Los Angeles later this month.
