Bishop Briggs

“White Flag” is the latest song released from the London-born but currently L.A.-based singer, Bishop Briggs. She is set to release her debut album “Church Of Scars” on April 20th via Teleport/Island/Republic Records.
In explaining the song, Bishop Briggs said, “White Flag is about pushing till there is sweat stinging your eyes, blood under your nails, and never giving up, no matter what the circumstances are.”
In 2016, Bishop Briggs released her breakthrough debut single “River.” The 24-year-old born Sarah McLaughlin hit the Top 5 on the Mediabase Alternative chart with that passionate and fiery track. Before all that, she moved from London to Tokyo to Hong Kong all before she became a teenager. While in Tokyo, the culture and art of karaoke drew out her love for singing, and watching her dad sing Frank Sinatra inspired her to tackle big voices like Whitney Houston on her own. At home, she'd write and perform "very depressing, dark poetry" for her parents and sister, harnessing her songwriting talent for years until she relocated to Los Angeles at 18 to pursue a career in music full-time.
Bishop Briggs begins a North American headline spring tour on April 27th at Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver.
