Teenage Wrist

“Stoned, Alone” is the newest single from the L.A.-based three piece band, Teenage Wrist. It can be found on their debut full-length album “Chrome Neon Jesus” released on March 9th via Epitaph Records. Recorded with Grammy Award-winning producer/engineer Carlos De La Garza (Paramore, Jimmy Eat World), this collection combines dreamy vocals with distorted guitars and massive dynamics. Throughout the album, bassist/vocalist Kamtin Mohager, guitarist/vocalist Marshall Gallagher, and drummer Anthony Salazar explore emotional terrain that Gallagher describes as “realiz[ing] the world is bigger, brighter and more terrifying then you ever imagined.”
“As far as tones and sounds this was the first time as a band we were really able to push ourselves and capture what was in our heads” Gallagher explains. “We knew exactly what we wanted and Carlos did a really great job of bringing these songs out of us and giving us the tools we needed to do that. We really wanted to take the time to create a signature sound with this record and capture something that was sonically different from other bands in our scene and I really think we accomplished that this time around,” adds Mohager. “I think those songs really set the tone for what the album is about and show the darker and more aggressive side of the band,” Gallagher explains. “With this album we dug a little deeper to make things heavier while still paying homage to our shoegaze influences,” adds Mohager.
Formed in 2015, Teenage Wrist made their debut that year with their acclaimed EP “Dazed.”
This summer, Teenage Wrist will be playing shows all over the U.S. in support of “Chrome Neon Jesus” including a performance at Shakey Knees Festival in Atlanta.
