State Champs

State Champs are back with a chase-filled music video for “Dead And Gone.” The track is taken from the band’s upcoming album “Living Proof,” due out on June 15th via Pure Noise. This record will be the third and the most ambitious and cohesive work in the band’s catalog. For this album, State Champs collaborated with some of pop-punk’s heaviest hitters, as the band co-wrote songs with Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low and Mark Hoppus from Blink-182.
“It was like, let’s take as many swings at it, try as many new things and experiment, until we get to the point where we could start searching through it all and then find the album” says State Champs band member Derek DiScanio of the writing process.
Formed in 2010 in Albany, New York, the band is made up of vocalist Derek DiScanio, guitarists Tyler Szalkowski and Tony Diaz, bassist Ryan Scott Graham and drummer Evan Ambrosio. They have fostered a loyal and dedicated fan-base through their inventive take on the genre—a certain ascending melodicism, bouncy power chords, infectious hooks and a level of band-to-fan transparency unique to them. State Champs have released three EPs and three full-length albums. They released an acoustic EP titled “The Acoustic Things” in 2014 and their second full-length album “Around the World and Back,” in 2015 and then another full-length, “The Finer Things” in 2013.
State Champs will be hitting the road on the Warped Tour all summer long. The band will support Fall Out Boy on October tour dates.
