“Harmony Hall” is the newest single out now by Vampire Weekend. The track marks Vampire Weekend’s first single in six years. Vampire Weekend have also revealed the title of their new album to be “Father Of The Bride.” It will be released this spring via Columbia Records. Vampire Weekend front-man Ezra Koenig revealed that ex-VW member Rostam Batmanglij contributed production to “Harmony Hall,” and that there’s another track that they “worked very closely on.” He also said that guitarist Greg Leisz plays the solo on “Harmony Hall” and is “all over the record,” while Dave Longstreth contributed another guitar part to “Harmony Hall.” Danielle Haim is also credited on the track. He stated that the record would feature an array of collaborators, marking the first time the band has included guest vocalists in an album.
Ezra Koenig said, "We’ve had three albums of the same voice over and over again. I like the idea of opening up our world a little bit.”
Vampire Weekend was formed in 2006 in New York City. The band was formed by lead vocalist and guitarist Ezra Koenig, multi-instrumentalist Rostam Batmanglij, drummer Chris Tomson and bassist Chris Baio. The have released three full-length albums, “Vampire Weekend” (2008), “Contra” (2010) and “Modern Vampires Of The City” (2013).
Vampire Weekend have announced a North American tour in support of “Father Of The Bride.” The trek kicks off in May with a festival slot at Gulf Shores, Alabama’s Hangout Music Fest. The tour also includes the band’s recently announced Madison Square Garden show.
