“Loneliness For Love” is the first single from Lovelytheband’s upcoming sophomore album with the same name expected for release sometime later this year via The Orchard. The dreamy video for the track finds the vocalist Mitchy Collins on a series of dates with a number of curiously well-dressed mannequins, cutting back and forth between the band playing in a nearby storefront window.
"In my dating life, I constantly keep falling back into a cycle or a pattern," Collins explains. "I'll meet someone and think I'm falling in love, because I'm trying to fill the void of being alone. I have a big problem with looking to other people to fill what I feel is lacking or missing inside of me. So, I jump into situations out of loneliness. I'm digging deep and reflecting. The song is literally me singing to loneliness."
The trio which was formed in 2016 in Los Angeles is currently made up of Collins, guitarist Jordan Greenwald and drummer Sam Price. They rose to fame following the release of their chart-topping track “Broken.” It was the debut single off their 2018 album “Finding it Hard To Smile.”
Lovelytheband recently announced that they will hit the road this spring on a North American Loneliness For Love headlining tour. It will start on May 14th in Santa Ana, CA and will travel throughout the U.S. and into Canada before wrapping things up back home on June 19th in Los Angeles.
