Poolside is Jeffrey Paradise, an Los Angeles producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. "I Feel High" is a collaboration with Chicago-based duo DRAMA, which is a new version of the song released from Poolside's third album, LOW SEASON released in 2020. Poolside was a originally a duo until 2017, following the departure of co-founding member Filip Nikolic.
It all started in a converted Los Angeles backyard pool house in early 2011 where Paradise produced chill music for summer soirees, a light but danceable kind of music with sunny vibes and liquid rhythm that he dubbed "Daytime Disco." In 2012, Poolside self-released its debut album PACIFIC STANDARD TIME. HEAT (2017). While still revolving around the sunny, laid-back disco sound of PACIFIC STANDARD TIME, Poolside added up-tempo dance songs and more guitars on their second album, HEAT, in 2017. LOW SEASON, the first record to be wholly-helmed by Paradise debuted with the single "Around The Sun,” a collaboration with Los Angeles-based psych rock band Amo Amo.
In 2018, Poolside introduced their new live band comprised of band leader Jeffrey Paradise on guitar and vocals, Vito Roccoforte (The Rapture) on drums, Mattie Safer (The Rapture) on bass and vocals, Brijean Murphy (Toro Y Moi, U.S. Girls) on congas, bongos, auxiliary percussion and vocals and Casey Butler (Pharaohs) on keyboard, saxophone, lap steel and flute. The band has performed at FYF, Primavera Sound, Coachella, Outside Lands, Okeechobee, Grandoozy, and Life Is Beautiful festivals.
Poolside has remixed countless high-profile acts, including a "Daytime Disco" take on the Milky Chance & Jack Johnson single “Don’t Let Me Down.”
