Jul 25, 2011
Multi-platinum punk superstars blink-182 (bass guitarist Mark Hoppus, vocalist/guitarist Tom DeLonge, and drummer Travis Barker) are back with "Up All Night." The trio's first new song in eight years, "Up All Night" made its radio debut July 14 on Los Angeles' KROQ-FM. "Up All Night," the lead single from the band's forthcoming album, Neighborhoods, is available for streaming on the band's website www.blink182.com. blink-182 will hit the road with My Chemical Romance as part of the 2011 Honda Civic Tour, which will reach 38 U.S. cities from August through October.
With their energized pop-savvy sound, blink-182 spearheaded a new school punk scene. Since their 1994 full-length debut, Cheshire Cat, blink-182 has sold over 11 million albums and filled arenas and stadiums both in the U.S. and worldwide. All six of their albums have been certified either gold or double platinum, with 1999's Enema of the State selling more than 4 million copies and giving the band several hit singles like; "What's My Age Again?", "All the Small Things" and "Adam's Song". In 2005, blink-182 announced they were going on an indefinite hiatus which included a number of solo side projects from the members. They came back together four years later and began work on their new album. In addition to the band's new album tentatively set to be released on September 27, 2011 they are also gearing up to release The Blinkumentary, a documentary about the band, in Fall 2011.
