After signing with Interscope Records in November 2011, the indie rock band, Imagine Dragons began working closely with renown producer Alex Da Kid (Eminem, Rhianna, Paramore) and recorded their first major label release in West Hollywood, California. The EP entitled Continued Silence and was released digitally on February 14th. They have gained an even bigger following recently when their music was featured on several MTV shows and many commercials.
Imagine Dragons was born in the Provo, Utah local music scene and then later relocated to Las Vegas. The members include Dan Reynolds (Vox), D. Wayne Sermon (Guitar), Daniel "Z" Platzman (Drums) and Ben McKee (Bass). After winning four back-to-back battles of the bands, the band entered the studio for the very first time in 2009. They released two self-releases albums titled Imagine Dragons and Hell and Silence (mixed in part by Mark Needham). A huge break came for them shortly after this when they were invited to fill in for Train at the 13th annual Bite of Las Vegas food and music festival, dubbed "Most Requested Band of 2010" on former Alternative station KVGS' LOCAL 107.9 show. They then went on to be voted "Best Local Indie Band 2010" by Las Vegas Weekly and awarded "Best CD of 2011" by Vegas Seven Magazine.
"It's Time", the first single off Continued Silence was released on February 21st, 2012 and is rapidly moving up the Mediabase Alternative charts. Imagine Dragons are set to perform at SXSW and tour with The Jezabels to promote their new album.
