Gentlemen Hall
Jan 27, 2013

Standing strong between the high-handed anthemic choruses of Fun and the retro synth melodies of MGMT, Gentlemen Hall has established itself as one of the most talked about bands to emerge from Boston to kick off 2013. Their new single, "Sail Into The Sun" is now being used in a GLOBAL campaign for Samsung which has already had 1,000,000 plus views. The band is also offering the track for free for a limited time.
Gentlemen Hall members include Gavin Merlot (lead vocalist, guitar), Cobi Mike (lead vocals, lead guitar), Ro Richard (bass guitar), Bradford Alderman (synthesizers), Phil Boucher (drums), and Seth Hachen (flute, piccolo). Beginning as a group of friends hanging in college dorms, the six guys formed the band in 2008. Despite coming from completely different musical backgrounds the sextet was drawn to the sounds of common artists and found themselves incorporating the implications of the pulsing sounds of Depeche Mode, the subject matter and arrangements of the Flaming Lips, and the unique vocal approach of David Bowie.
After winning numerous accolades such as MTV's Best Breakout Band in 2009 and Boston's Best Act in 2011, the band was nominated and won Billboard's Battle Of The Bands and made history being the first independent band to perform on the Billboard Music Awards in 2011. In September 2011 they released their debut EP When We All Disappear to critical acclaim and toured nationally throughout 2012. Gentlemen Hall are currently unsigned and in the studio finishing their full-length album.
