Cold War Kids
Feb 3, 2013

Cold War Kids will be releasing their fourth studio album, Dear Miss Lonelyhearts on April 2nd via Downtown Records. This will be the band's first album since 2011's Mine is Yours. The first single is "Miracle Mile" and it is already receiving much praise. With a bright piano and a call-and-response chorus, it's clear the band is going for a sound that will fill bigger auditoriums. Dear Miss Lonelyhearts came to life at the band's San Pedro, CA studio space. They enlisted new guitar player, Dann Gallucci (Murder City Devils, Modest Mouse) and Lars Stalfors to produce.
"We were shaken up, ready to let certain songs go further than before by trying new styles and arrangements, while keeping others sparse and caring more about the finished product and less about how we got there," said lead singer Nathan Willett.
Members of this Long Beach indie rock band include Nathan Willett (vocals, piano, guitar), Dann Gallucci, Matt Maust (bass guitar), and Matt Aveiro (drums, percussion). Cold War Kids' energetic live performances remain the heart of the band. On February 15th, they will return to the road, playing Pappy & Harriet's Place in Pioneertown, CA and will remain on tour through May 25th playing venues like Metro in Chicago on April 6th, Paradise Rock Club in Boston on April 10th, Webster Hall in NYC on April 13th and Henry Fonda Theatre Los Angeles on May 24th.
