The Neighbourhood
Mar 10, 2013
Los Angeles quintet, The Neighborhood will be releasing their debut album, I Love You on April 23rd via Columbia Records. The 12-track set will feature previously released songs "Let It Go", "A Little Death" and "Female Robbery". They released a 5-track EP, I'm Sorry in August last year which featured these hit singles, "Female Robbery" and "Sweater Weather" which is currently in the top 15 at Alternative Radio exclusively through VEVO.
The Neighbourhood members include Jesse Rutherford (vocals), Jeremy Freedman (guitar), Zach Abels (guitar), Mikey Margott (bass) and Bryan Sammis (drums). Their music is brilliantly catchy, employing pop sensibilities that keep their sound fresh, while still hinting at influences. The Neighbourhood's lead singer is 21 year old Jesse Rutherford and he says that a lot of their influences come from the hip hop genre.
After playing a handful of soldout shows in London, Glasgow and Manchester towards the end of 2012, The Neighbourhood will embark on a bigger tour in May. This new run will begin at Manchester's Ruby Lounge on May 3 and conclude at London's Heaven on May 8th. First, The Neighbourhood will do a U.S. tour with stops at SXSW and Coachella.
