The Features
Mar 17, 2013

Nashville indie rock band, The Features have recently announced spring tour dates to go along with the release of their forthcoming album, This Disorder out on Serpents And Snakes/BMG on May 14th. Released on February 26th, "This Disorder" is the lead single from the album and has already been highly complimented.
Overall, the album discusses society's obsession with computers, smartphones and TVs. The Features urge us all to go outside and enjoy our lives away from these screens. With this full-length album, the band look to build upon the success of their most recent record Wilderness, which earned them their late night TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and won praise from the likes of Time Magazine, Bust, American Songwriter, and SPIN.
The Features were formed as middle-schoolers in Sparta, Tennessee, a small Southern town that boasts bluegrass picker Lester Flatt as its claim to fame. Currently, the band consists of Matthew Pelham, Roger Dabbs, Mark Bond, and Rollum Haas. Since releasing The Beginning EP in 2003, the combo have established themselves as one of the most exciting and imaginative bands working today. Falling somewhere in the middle between mainstream and hipster, their sound is an amalgamation of influences and inspirations-spanning elements of Krautrock, indie, psychedelia, and classic AOR.
