Indie-rock band, American Authors may have just formed only last year but they had an early believer with SiriusXM Alt Nation surpassing 500 total spinson the catchy single "Believer" before the Alternative radio impact date. American Authors debut EP will be released later this spring via Mercury/IDJMG. Several of their songs are available for purchase on iTunes. Their cover of Ellie Goulding's "Lights" has gained them a lot of attention on YouTube.
This foursome from Brooklyn, NY consists of Zac Barnett on vocals, James Adams on guitar, Dave Rublin on bass, and Matt Sanchez on drums.
As their website states, "We create music that comes naturally to us and we're not afraid of change. We are thrilled about the present. We all have a story to tell, whether it's audible, visual, silence or motion."
American Authors first national tour kicked off in January with A Silent Film and Gold Fields. The band performed at SXSW, including the ASCAP Showcase. They will for sure win over crowds with their magnetic performance and anthemic songs.
