Sirsy
Sep 8, 2013

Upstate New York rockers, SIRSY, continue to infiltrate the indie pop rock market with their catchy and infectious songs on their explosive album, Coming Into Frame via Funzalo Records. It was produced by grammy-winners Paul Kolderie and Sean Slade. The Batman & Robin-esque duo just recently released their latest single "Goner." That doesn't appear on their current album.
Often compared to The White Stripes, the band consists of singer/drummer Melanie 'Mel' Krahmer and guitarist Rich Libutti, which makes for a very impressive range and captivating style. Formed in Albany, NY in 2000, SIRSY's music is reminiscent of the heavy, grunge-influenced pop of the 90s. SIRSY writes energetic songs with introspective lyrics and unforgettable melodies. This critically acclaimed pair has wowed nationwide and shared the stage with artists such as Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Maroon 5, Train, Third Eye Blind and Lifehouse.
Sirsy is most notable for touring continuously throughout North America and for background music for several television shows and independent films. Their relentless touring has gained them a cult following.
