Beware Of Darkness
Oct 20, 2013

On May 7th, California three-piece Beware Of Darkness released their debut album, Orthodox. The album was co-produced by Greg Gordan and Dave Sardy executing producing and mixing. The second single, "All Who Remain" is a down-tempo song about losing your favorite person on this planet. It's the follow-up single to "Howl," a bluesy, gritty song that hit at Top 5 Active Rock.
Beware of Darkness members include vocalist/guitarist Kyle Nicolaides, bassist Daniel Curcio, and drummer Tony Cupito. The band formed in 2011 after Kyle Nicolaides met Tony Cupito at one of Kyle's acoustic solo shows in downtown Los Angeles at a club. The two began playing shows with various bass players until they met Daniel Curcio, who was visiting Santa Monica after finding out he had a long lost half brother living there. Their first show was at The Roxy in LA.
Not long after solidifying the lineup, they signed a record deal with Bright Antenna Records and began opening up shows for punk rock legends such as Social Distortion as well as touring with indie act The Wombats. In 2012, they went on to tour with Tegan And Sara, Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, Deftones and played at SXSW.
This year, Beware of Darkness toured the UK with Skunk Anansie, a portion of Warped Tour, and performed on Uproar with Alice In Chains, Jane's Addiction, and Circa Survive. Beware of Darkness was also the opening band for Smashing Pumpkins' European Tour.
