Bombay Bicycle Club
Feb 2, 2014

The English band, Bombay Bicycle Club have recently released "Luna" which is the lead single from their forthcoming new LP So Long, See You Tomorrow, which follows up 2011's A Different Kind of Fix. "Luna" is lovely and generous and has a bright wordless chorus. So Long, See You Tomorrow will be out February 4th via Vagrant Records.
The lead singer of Bombay Bicycle Club, Jack Steadman, wrote most of the songs on the album and he says that while he was inspired by his travels through India, Tokyo, Europe and Turkey, the traveling mostly had an impact on his attitude rather than the songwriting directly. "I think the travelling gave me a sense of wellbeing rather than any direct musical influence," he revealed.
Hailing from London, Bombay Bicycle Club is composed of Jack Steadman (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Jamie MacColl (guitar), Suren de Saram (drums) and Ed Nash (bass). They are guitar-fronted and have mingled with genres. For example, Flaws, a folk inspired album, takes inspiration from artists like Joni Mitchell. Suren de Saram's father is the classical cellist Rohan de Saram. Jamie MacColl is the grandson of Ewan MacColl and Peggy Seeger, and the nephew of Kirsty MacColl. His brother Tom MacColl is drummer for the band Casablanca.
